Meet The Team
A Note from the Founder
The Osumi is a hand-crafted Japanese masterpiece. Its' story begins with my great-grandmother, born in the Manzanar Japanese internment camp during World War II. She lived through a time of great hardship and, growing up, was encouraged to marry outside her heritage and discouraged from speaking Japanese—ultimately severing her connection to the culture and traditions she was born into. This watch is more than just a timepiece; it’s a symbol of my journey to reclaim that lost heritage.
To reconnect with the lost heritage. We manufactured all in Japan, incorporating Japanese steel, an NH35 (Japan) movement, and Japanese sapphire. Each element carefully selected to honor the roots that were once taken away. With every detail, this legacy timepiece, built to last many lifetimes, is a celebration of cultural identity and the power of reconnecting with the past.
